By A remake of Carrie is happening, people, so lets just give into that fact and try to pretend like we’re excited for it or something. Since we’re sooooo excited for it here’s some news that could put a damper on that fabricated excitement we just made up. Rumor has it that Megan Fox wants to be cast in the lead role.
Now, I am one of the few people who enjoyed Jennifer’s Body and quite enjoyed Meagan Fox in it as the sexually-amped demon, but even I have to scratch my head at this one. Carrie is about a nerdy girl who gets picked on a lot (and subsequently starts killing everyone) and in case you missed the typecasting Megan Fox does not look like that and I don’t think any amount of reverse She’s All That makeovers is going to stop that fact. What are they going to do? Pick on her weird thumbs so much she snaps?
So far this is just a rumor from Showbiz Spy so you should definitely take it with a grain of salt, especially considering the article makes it sound like she chose to leave Transformers to take on more serious roles. Yes, sure. It wasn’t the fact that every person in the world thought she was one of the worst parts of the already terrible Transformers 2 that got her booted from the franchise.
