By /Film has heard from an exhibitor source that Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol IMAX screenings may be accompanied with a six minute prologue to next year’s The Dark Knight Rises. While there has been no official confirmation of this yet, it’s not much of a surprise. I Am Legend‘s IMAX showings, in some theaters, carried the amazing opening sequence to The Dark Knight. You know the one. The one that’s like Heat with a crazy man in clown makeup.
As long as the prologue is more substantive than the teaser trailer we got earlier this year, I’ll be satisfied. My rabidly-happy playthrough of yesterday’s Batman: Arkham City is reaffirming for me the reasons why I love Batman so much, and I’m still more excited for The Avengers, largely because I’ve actually SEEN something from The Avengers.
