With Avengers: Age of Ultron only a month away, it’s time to care about the films we’ll be getting forever away from now! According to Badass Digest, who has gotten the info from an un-identified source so take it with some salt regardless, Joe and Anthony Russo are expected to direct both the third and fourth Avengers films and they’ll shoot back to back in 2016/17.
After their success with Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Which I didn’t like nearly as much as everyone else did), the two have branched out and gotten deals with Marvel as they direct Captain America: Civil War, and even with Sony to direct one of their many Ghostbusters films. There are no writers attached to the film, but Digest suggests Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (the duo who wrote the Captain America trilogy and Agent Carter) are in talks.
Someone has to take over with Whedon wanting to do his own thing, so I guess Marvel will just throw it on the two with so much on their plate already. I’m not sure what I think since I don’t really like either of their big films (the other is You, Me and Dupree). What about you? Does this sound like good news?
