A few months ago Elizabeth Olsen was in talks to join the cast of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it was never confirmed as “in talks” could mean a lot of things. But in an interview with the Wall Street Journal (as he was talking up his involvement with ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series), Samuel L. Jackson may have bitten off more than he should have (get it because he was once eaten by sharks):
I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year…I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen [who will play the Scarlet Witch], but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.
So while we know Olsen is joining the cast, I still don’t want to jump the gun and say Olsen is Scarlet Witch. Whatever she ends up doing, Olsen is talented and I’m sure Age of Ultron is gonna kick ass.
