Cinemas across the nation are about to reopen and there might actually be something worth making the trek outside to see. Director Edgar Wright announced last night that his 2010 cult-hit Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World will be returning to cinemas in the near future. Announced at the end of a tweet-along watching of the film, he stated that plans are on track for an August release.
Coincidentally, August 2020 will mark the 10th anniversary of the film’s original release. I’m not sure if a re-release was planned before this pandemic happened, but everything adds up almost too perfectly.
