Second trailer for the Wachowski’s Jupiter Ascending

The first trailer for the Wachowski’s Jupiter Ascending left a weird impression on me. It looked good, sounded good, but ultimately seemed hollow. It just felt like something was missing within all of the glitz and glamour of the setting. This second trailer helps remedy that a bit by showcasing more of the story. 

In this newest trailer we have more of the villain (and the hamfisted way Eddie Radmayne chooses to play him), more of Tatum’s cool bouncy shoes, but still not a lot of heart. I’m hoping Ascending can be more than a hollow princess rescue fantasy. Jupiter Ascending ascends into theaters July 18th.
