Shame was one of Alec’s favorite movies of last year and also accounted for several entries in his list of Oscar snubs. To commemorate the film’s release on DVD and Blu-ray next week, the film is being screening on April 17th in Los Angeles and New York City, followed by a panel discussion with a group of experts on sex and sex addiction. If you’re in NYC, the screening is completely free at the Museum of Sex at Fifth Avenue and 27nd Street. Tickets are available by RSVPing by emailing rsvp@museumofsex.com. In Los Angeles, the screening is at the Aero Theater, and tickets are $11 for general admission, $9 for students/seniors, and $7 for members. For more information, check out the invitations in the gallery below.
Our own Max Roahrig will be attending the screening in Los Angeles, so if you find yourself out there, give him a friendly hug. Repeatedly. Even if he tells you stop, no, I’m not consenting to that.
