Confession time: I was not the biggest fan of Tangled. I didn’t hate it, but I did feel like it was lacking in a lot of departments. One thing I was a fan of, however, was the fact that they didn’t immediately get married at the end. That’s a bit rare in Disney movies. Even the ones that don’t end with the protagonists getting married inevitably release their doll forms in wedding garb. Because, you know, little girls can’t play pretend about anything other than marriage.
Apparently I will be disappointed when I go see Beauty and the Beast in 3D (because I do totally go for those money-sinks), since the movie will feature the premiere of a new short film in front of the main feature. Tangled Ever After follows Maximus the horse and Pascal the chameleon, the two wacky animal friends from Tangled, after they lose the wedding bands and have to go on a wacky search with wacky consequences. How wacky!
I know you’re on the edge of your seat to see if they make it to the church in time, but you’ll have to wait until Beauty and the Beast 3D comes out on January 13th.
