By In an upcoming interview with the Fox Business network, DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffery Katzenberg teased the possibility of a fifth (!!!) Shrek film. Variety got their hands on the interview ahead of its release, and picked out this little nugget.
We like to let them have a little bit of time to rest. But I think you can be confident that we’ll have another chapter in the Shrek series. We’re not finished, and more importantly, neither is he.
Jesus, Katzenberg. Let the guy have a break!
This news comes along with DreamWorks’ plans to open six (!!!) new Shrek attractions over the course of nine years. The first, Shrek’s Far, Far Away Adventure will launch in London next summer. I assume most of these attractions will find their homes at the Universal Studios parks, but hey, I ain’t no theme park analyst.
