Gravitas Ventures has nabbed the North American rights to a fun-looking little bloodbath called The 16th Episode, which follows three YouTubers with plummeting viewership who get invited to a satanic ritual and–surprise!–things don’t go well for them.
At first I was worried this was going to be a found footage movie (thank god that trend died), but it’s not and looks to have a sort of exotic creepiness that I’m down for. Who doesn’t love devil-worship movies, and this one even comes with a Millennial twist! Millennials can kill mayo and Applebee’s, but they sure as hell can’t kill horror.
The 16th Episode will hit VOD and theaters on June 28, 2019.
