The release date for Zack Snyder’s Superman movie, Man of Steel, has officially been pushed back by six months. While the movie was originally tentatively slated for a December 2012 release, Warner Bros. now has The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to release to theaters in December 2012, so the execs have decided to push Man of Steel back to June 14th, 2013.
Lesson learned: Peter Jackson and Lord of the Rings related things mess up everything for everyone. It’s a sad day for diehard Superman fans, but a good day for anyone worried about trying to cram in too many movies over the holidays.
