Game of Thrones is one of the biggest things in the world right now, so it’s no surprise that some of its stars have gone on to relative big screen success. Emilia “Daenerys” Clarke is set to portray Sarah Connor in this summer’s Terminator: Genesys, while Peter “Tyrion” Dinklage did a heel turn for last year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past (soon to be followed by Sophie Turner in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse). Soon, those well-respected actors will be joined by DeObia Oparei, who’s signed on to join the cast of Independence Day 2.
What’s that, you say? What iconic Game of Thrones actor will we see on the big screen next June? Well, Oparei plays Areo Hotah, who…well, basically, so far that guy has just kind of stood around looking menacing so far this season. But hey…that’s okay! There’s still, like, half a season left to go, so that dude will probably do something between now and then.
ANYWAY, in this movie, Oparei will play Dikembe, the educated son of an African warlord, Deadline reports. He’ll be joined by returning stars like Jeff Pullman, Jeff Goldblum and Vivica A. Fox when the movie hits theaters on June 24, 2016. Hopefully he’ll do more than stand around looking tough.
