By Hot off the heels of her Oscar win (and even more prestigious Golden Pterodactyl nomination) for Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence is so hot right now. So hot in fact, that everyone wants her clothes (or blue body paint) enough to throw big money around. At an auction house in Los Angeles shortly after the Academy Awards, her entire wardrobe from SLP (ranging from her fancy button coat, tight white pants, to one her tanktops for some reason) sold for $12,000 in all.
The most hilarious thing about all this is that Nate Stevens, who runs the auction house, claimed that “bidders from all over the world furiously bid against one another.” Hmm, I wonder why that is? Is it because they were hoping her coat still smelled like her? Is it to finish their J-Law shrine? Did they think JLaw gets all of her attractiveness powers from her clothes? And what about Crazy Gilbert down the road who bid seven silver dollars for a lock of her hair before he realized that wasn’t for sale?
You go ahead and ponder those questions. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to rub this tank top all over my body.
