The dust has barely settled on Spider-Man’s departure from the MCU, but that isn’t stopping Sony from capitalizing on his image. Continuing from the surprise cameo at the end of Far From Home, Sony has launched a fictionalized vlog for The Daily Bugle, the in-universe news network for Spider-Man. It features the same cameo making spurious claims and all.
This will be a tremendous spoiler for anyone that hasn’t seen the film, but I’m happy Sony isn’t dropping that angle. I was very pleased with the mid-credits scene bringing back the legendary J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, so I welcome this. It’s unclear if Sony will continue to update the vlog with random short clips explaining how Spider-Man is a menace, but you can currently check out the vlog to read some testimonials from disgruntled New Yorkers. Apparently, one guy is in the hospital after he blipped back mid-fall.
