Steven Spielberg’s Abraham Lincoln film has been long awaited, yet held back for some years now. Liam Neeson was all set to play the sixteenth president until he dropped out last year. Now, as much as I love Liam Neeson, we’ve managed to trade up. Daniel Day-Lewis is all set to star in Spielberg’s Tony Kushner-penned Lincoln, which is based off of Doris Kearns Goodwin’s Team of Rivals. Filming for the project looks to come after Tin Tin and War Horse, but before Robopocalypse, getting everything set for a 4th quarter 2012 release.
Daniel Day-Lewis is probably one of the greatest actors of our time, and I think it sounds amazing that he’s teaming up with Steven Spielberg. I’m calling it right now; this is going to be one of the better films to come out of 2012.
