I’m going to give you a moment to fully grasp that headline. Don’t just read it, REALLY take it in. Are you good? Ok.
While speaking with the LA Times (at the red carpet of the Kid Choice Awards, of all places), the almighty Stan Lee shared his desire to be in Christopher Nolan’s next Batman film The Dark Knight Rises. Despite working for DC Comic’s rivals and having nothing to do with the franchise, Stan still thinks this would be the greatest thing since sliced bread. “I wonder why DC Comics doesn’t have me do a cameo in Batman” he stated, “just think how people would come to see that. They wouldn’t believe it.”
I, for one, welcome the notion of Stan Lee joining the likes of Joseph Gordon Levitt, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway. I mean, where would we be in life if we didn’t experience such harrowing performances as Hot Dog Vendor, Old Man Dodging Debris and most importantly Milwaukee Man Drinking From Bottle. Along with his long awaited role as Truck Driver in Thor and his hush hush role in the Captain America film, I’m predicting a meteoric rise for this master thespian.
