The star of The Office and Date Night is set to produce and co-star in Cars and Bolt screenwriter Dan Fogelman’s directorial debut. The film, entitled Imagine, is a comedy about an aging rock star that decides to turn his life around after reading a never-opened letter from John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
Yep. You read that right.
Carell will play the rock star’s son, in that classic trope where neither party knew the other existed. There will be some tears of joy, hilarious misunderstandings, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll be able to learn a little…about ourselves.
Then again, this guy wrote Bolt and Cars.
