By Look, I have no idea what Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is about, other than it’s a children’s book and that a kid probably has a bad day. I really only took this story to make that glorious header of our managing editor and Flixist Show host Alex Katz.
Ok ok, on to serious news. Steve Carell has been hired on to play Alexander’s dad (I’m presuming), and Lisa Cholodenko of The Kids are Alright fame will be directing. So for families with kids who love the book series, look for this first installment soon. Seriously, that’s all the news on this project. I mean, if the first flick does well, I assume the other two books will be adapted. That’s how this industry works, right?
