Steven Soderbergh is well known for, well, everything. The guy directs whatever the heck he wants, and does it however he wants, and that’s brought us to Unsane. The first trailer of which is now out, and it looks like it’s going to be one hell of a drug.
The film hasn’t had much promotion behind it, and was shot on the cheap on only iPhone cameras so this is actually the first we’re getting to know about it at all. It plays up on everyone’s favorite fear of not knowing if they’re insane or not, which is pretty much a constant for anyone living these days. At first I thought it was going to be straight thriller, but things look like they take a decidedly horror tone by the end. Also, it has Claire Foy, and she is fantastic even if she isn’t speaking with her Queen voice.
