Super Bowl TV spot for Pitch Perfect 2

I’ve been worried about Pitch Perfect 2 since it was announced a few years ago. I really liked the first one (enough to watch it several times), and a lot of the humor just kind of *clicked* with me. But the more I watched it, the more I became aware that its kind of premise could only work well once. See, it’s the Glee syndrome. A musically inclined, but cartoony premise kept afloat through good humor and cast. But the more it kept going, the more it fell apart. 

But even if it’s not 100% great, this Super Bowl spot shows off a good sense of music (a new Riff-Off? EEEE) and comedy. Go Packers! Elizabeth Banks’ directorial debut, Pitch Perfect 2, opens May 15th.
