Dwayne Johnson can do no wrong (well, almost no wrong). The guy just makes blockbusters, and not much looks more blockbustery than Skycraper, a movie where Johnson must traverse a really tall building in order to save his family from evil people. This is our first look at the movie, along with a new poster.
It’s basically Die Hard on steroids, from swinging alongside the building from a makeshift rope to secret reasons for the bad guys to be there, and if Johnson wasn’t in it I’d probably have no desire to see it. But he just brings something to movies, and as such I’m kind of want to see him pulling his weight. The actor hasn’t really had a film where he’s carrying the entire weight of the narrative so it will be interesting to see how he pulls this off.
