[Update: Disney has yanked this from Youtube. You were lucky if you saw it!]

Our reactions to Tron: Legacy here at Flixist have ranged from “ehhhh, s’alright” to “orgasmic joy.” The one thing most people seem to agree on is that, with the exception of CLU’s trip to the Uncanny Valley, the film looks gorgeous. The above video is seven somewhat spoiler-y minutes showing a lot of the little visual tricks and effects the film used, including some on the aforementioned de-old-ening of Jeff Bridges. The finished effect didn’t work out quite as planned, but the work that went into it seems truly astounding.

Does this give you a little more appreciation for Tron: Legacy, or are you still feeling derezzed over the whole situation?

Oh god, I’m sorry, that was awful.
