By If you weren’t interested in The Hunger Games before, this teaser, which played last night at MTV’s VMAs, won’t do anything for you. All you’re seeing here is the protagonist, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), running through the forest away from fireballs. That’s it. If you haven’t read the books, it pretty much means nothing. If you HAVE read the books, well, it doesn’t mean a lot anyway. Basically, it’s a crappy trailer. It doesn’t make me any more or less excited for the movie. It just tells me that MTV correctly recognized that Hunger Games is a hot property among the folk watching the VMAs and got Lionsgate to cut an exceedingly early trailer for the film.
Hopefully, we’ll get a proper Hunger Games trailer in a few months that actually shows off whatever’s going on with the film.
