Andres and I like to refer to some actors by their most well-known characters’ names, such as Josh Radnor’s Ted Mosby from the TV show, How I Met Your Mother. However, it’s all a joke, because we really love and respect these actors. Considering how much praise Radnor’s been getting for his writing/directing debut, Happythankyoumoreplease, we’re probably gonna have to refer to him as more than Ted Mosby. The same can be said for the lost Olsen sister, Elizabeth. Did you know there was a third Olsen girl? Neither did I before the praise for her role in the Sundance film, Martha Marcy May Marlene, came out.
So it only makes sense to combine the two indie darling up-and-comers. The Playlist is reporting that Radnor and Olsen are set to star in the Radnor-directed/script-written Liberal Arts. The Playlist sheds some light on film’s synopsis:
“[T]he picture focuses on a 35-year-old man who can’t leave his college life behind as he comes to grips with the responsibilities of adulthood. Olsen will play a teenaged college student who falls for Radnor’s character over their mutual love of music and literature, but their difference in age starts to get in the way as Radnor’s character moves farther away from a hedonistic lifestyle.”
I don’t know about anybody else, but Radnor’s emergence in films reminds me of Zach Braff’s career, which I am pretty content with. I’m definitely interested in both Liberal Arts and Happythankyoumoreplease. Here’s hoping my interest can meet my very high expectations. For those in LA and NY, Happythankyoumoreplease is screening in select theaters, so be sure to check it out and let us know what you think.
