So the writer of the films Shutter Island and Alexander, Laeta Kalogridis, and writer of Drive Angry, Patrick Lussier, have been hired to collaborate and write the script of Terminator 5. Now, these two have collaborated before, but nothing of theirs has made it to the big screen. Their most recent collaboration was to write an original science fiction story for Skydance Productions (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Star Trek Into Darkness) and for producer David Ellison. Quite possibly he saw their work and snatched them up for Terminator 5 because of it.
So I could be in the minority, or the majority depending on who you talk to, but I am not all that excited for potentially another Terminator film. In my opinion, there are only two Terminator films, The Terminator, and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. But this is of my own opinion, so by all means you can have your own opinion about the other films in the franchise. Maybe this will be different? But in my opinion, the Terminator has been long out of the limelight and doesn’t need to be continued any longer.
