Alice in Wonderland
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Clash of the Titans
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
Hereafter
Inception
Iron Man 2
The Last Airbender
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Scott Pilgrim vs the World
Shutter Island
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
Tron: Legacy
Unstoppable
There are some genuine surprises here. By “surprises,” I mean, “someone was on some really good acid when they wrote that one down.” At a certain point, it just looks like a list of films that were more than fifteen percent CGI. As much as I couldn’t stand Scott Pilgrim, it does absolutely look amazing. My picks are:
Inception
Tron: Legacy
Scott Pilgrim
Harry Potter
Shutter Island
The more logical selection probably cuts out Scott Pilgrim and Shutter Island for Iron Man 2 and Alice in Wonderland, since the Academy is the last group on Earth other than Hot Topic who hasn’t realized that Tim Burton’s films have looked the same for five to ten years.
