In one of the best pair-ups I’ve ever seen, Feeding America Food Banks is teaming up with Anchor Bay Films to run a food drive in conjunction with their release of The Divide. In case you’ve forgotten, The Divide is about a group of people forced into a basement after the apocalypse who have to try to survive with limited supplies and deteriorating sanity. You can see the trailer here, and you’ll be able to read our review next week.
Anchor Bay Films admits that the pairing is tongue-in-cheek, but considering The Divide was disturbing enough to make me want to forget I had a vagina for a couple of days, it’s not something I’d really want to think about in the context of food. If you’re interested in donating, you can bring canned food to the midnight screening of the movie at participating theaters, listed below the jump. The first 50 donations will receive a Mondo poster of the film.
