Straight from San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Studios has unveiled the first official details on The Eternals, the cosmic romp set to start setting the stage for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four. What, you didn’t think these movies were ending anytime soon, did you?
Just announced in Hall H at #SDCC, Marvel Studios’ THE ETERNALS with Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee. Directed by Chloé Zhao. In theaters November 6, 2020. pic.twitter.com/inn67bSZiM

As seen in the official Tweet above, the slow trickle of cast details seem to have been true, with the previously-rumored Angelina Jolie and Kumail Nanjiani suiting up. Chloé Zhao directs.
Something of a follow up to his work on the New Gods at DC, Jack Kirby created The Eternals as a crew of super-experiments created by Celestials, the Marvel canon’s cosmic space gods. Their role in Marvel’s Phase Four could mean any number of things, setting up a great big outer space scuffle for our Avengers (?) to tackle.
Time will tell when The Eternals hit theaters November 6, 2020.
