Back at the beginning of the year, we showcased the 1960s Film Alphabet by Stephen Wildish. The A-Z poster consisted of 26 representative images of 1960s films, one for each letter of the alphabet. Wilidish wound up doing similar posters for films in the 1950s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, and even did a Bond Movie Alphabet with a Bond character for each letter.
Well, Wildish continues in that tradition with the Horror Film Alphabet. While there are a handful of repeats from previous film alphabets, it’s still a stylish, well-executed game of “name that film.” (That said, it would have been cool to see an Xtro or Near Dark appearance, or maybe stretch it a bit for some Quatermass and the Pit action.)
In the gallery we’ve included the full Horror Film Alphabet as well as the Bond Film Alphabet. To see other ginchy works by Wildish, check out Stephen Wildish’s Friday Project on his official website.
