Despite the fact that The Last Witch Hunter doesn’t come out until October 23rd and the first trailer for it looked like someone had photoshopped Vin Diesel into an Underworld movie Lionsgate appears to already be locking in on a sequel for what they hope will be a major franchise. Vin Diesel, in his uniquely awesome social media way, revealed that the studio was already asking him to block time for the next film.
Of course this doesn’t mean there actually will be a sequel. The Furious series may pull folks in, but that isn’t from Diesel’s star power so if The Last Witch Hunter ends up sucking it could seriously flop. If that’s the case, and I have a feeling it may be, then we definitely won’t be seeing another one. That is unless Diesel goes all Riddick and basically funds it himself.
