The Netflix hoard grows with Korean zombie series All of Us Are Dead

Continuing to broaden their catalogue of international shows ripe for the binging, Netflix has announced today that the streaming service has put to order All of Us Are Dead, a zombie series based on the Korean webtoon Now At Our School.

The web series focuses on the tribulations of a school, locked down and infected with ravenous zombies. It’s currently unclear whether the Netflix series will be limited to the school setting.

Netflix is teaming with producer Lee Jae-kyoo, whose successes include Korean dramas Beethoven Virus and The King 2 Hearts. With scripts from Chun Sung-il, Lee will co-direct All of Us Are Dead with Kim Nam-su.

Given the international success of Yeon Sang-ho’s Train to Busan, there would seem to be a market for the Korean zombie drama. With that film receiving a sequel this year, and Netflix already streaming zombie period drama Kingdom, the stage is set for All of Us Are Dead to be another notch in Netflix’s belt of genre successes.
