Whether you loved it or hated it, Power Rangers will be back on the big screen. According to the Red Ranger himself, Dacre Montgomery, Hasbro is scrapping what they gave us in 2017 and starting brand new.
So just how did this news come about? Well after he was asked if there were any plans for a sequel, Montgomery tweeted out the following:
“I think there is a movie in the works but it’s not with me and the cast. So yes but not with us.”
Note that Hasbro has yet to confirm or deny anything but you are hearing it straight from one of the key cast members. If true, this, of course, means a new cast and a whole new direction. Fans were mixed when it came to the last Power Rangers film, which was essentially an origin story for characters we already know and love.
So despite how indifferent the world may have been on the last reboot, I am sure we will hear more official news in the coming months on what the future holds for The Power Rangers film franchise.
