Looking to answer the question of what a Christopher Nolan James Bond film might look like, Warner Bros. has unleashed the first trailer for Tenet.
Originally premiering a teaser before Hobbs and Shaw earlier this year, this is the first major look at Nolan’s latest film, following 2017’s Dunkirk.
Starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, and Elizabeth Debicki, Tenet looks to be more high-octane thriller material from Nolan, with what looks like a sci-fi slant. Just how far down the rabbit hole Tenet goes is yet to be seen, but Nolan’s disposition towards heady narratives and speculative, hard-science fiction should have fans clamoring already.
Shot by Interstellar collaborator Hoyte van Hoytema, and featuring a score by Ludwig Göransson (whose work can be heard on The Mandalorian), Tenet co-stars Aaron Taylor Johnson, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh. It’s currently set for a release on July 17, 2020.
