San Diego Comic Con took place this past weekend so that means we’ve gotten all sorts of news and first looks. But since we’re not at the convention we won’t see any of the truly juicy stuff until studios decide to show footage a few months from now (unless you’re a Batman or Superman fan). Until then, all we have to go on Duncan Jones’ (Moon, Source Code) Warcraft film are these two new character posters of Lothar (Travis Fimmel) and Durotan (Tony Kebbel).
As far as I know, the Horde’s going to be all motion capture. And in an interview with io9, Duncan Jones said the film’s nearly complete and wants to make at least two more of these. Since the film isn’t releasing until 2016, I’m sure we won’t get our first concrete look at the film’s visuals until much, much later. It was supposed to release this December, but a certain other film changed all of that.
Here’s a synopsis. Warcraft opens June 10th, 2016.
[via /Film]The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.
