This is the End might be one of the more anticipated comedies of the year. We’ll all be anticipating two days less now as the film has been bumped up to a June 12 release instead of a June 14 release. Those two days should give the film a bit of breathing room from Man of Steel, which is opening the on the 14th. Probably a smart idea since young men is the target demographic of both.
The longer weekend should also give the film a bigger box office even though it doesn’t stand a chance of grabbing the number one slot as long as there’s a Nolan produced, big budget superhero flick landing at the same time. This is a smart move if you ask me, especially since it get us what we want earlier.
