By In an apparent race to develop the most unwatchable series on television, TLC has just announced it will be bringing Dr. Pimple Popper to series. God help us all.
After airing a one-hour special following Dr. Sandra Lee as she made lumps on people’s bodies burst so all the awfulness could stream toward the camera in January, TLC saw the special earned 1.2 million viewers and trended on Facebook and needed more. Much more.
Of course, we did this to ourselves.
Each episode will run a full hour and will certainly be the show for the whole family to gather around the TV for, ordering a piping hot pizza with bubbles of cheese just ready to burst and flow down their throats. Yum.
The series is based off Dr. Lee’s YouTube series, and I’d dare say that if TLC is going to turn to the internet for programing ideas, they still have leagues of disgusting waste to plunder before they ever come up dry.
