Whoa, suddenly I have a “most anticipated movie of 2011” that I can name! Move over District 9, this film looks like it’s going to be even more dramatic and focused. I love it when alien invasion movies realize that the first 24 hours of the invasion are actually the most juicy parts of the story that we want to see, so that we can think about how the world would react in the initial moments of panic, intrigue, confusion, excitement, and fear. Here’s what to expect from Battle: Los Angeles:
“For years, there have been documented cases of UFO sightings around the world – Buenos Aires, Seoul, France, Germany, China. And to think, I'll be seeing Skyline in a few hours. Talk about stealing a movie's thunder! I can't wait to see how often Skyline shows us the aliens and their culture, or if it's just a colossal failure. My gut tells me to expect some awful dialogue, but I'll let you know in my review tomorrow!
