By The Good Girl and Youth in Revolt director Miguel Arteta and writer Phil Johnston have come together to tell a tale of a Hangover-esque wild ride, at a Midwestern insurance sales convention. Extracting humour from a stuffy business conference, one would think, is as difficult as getting blood from a stone, but after watching Jason Reitman do just that in Up in the Air, I am optimistic that 2011’s Cedar Rapids will be a success. It may also have something to do with it’s minted comedy cast, which includes Ed Helms, John C. Reilly, Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development), and Stephen Root (Office Space).
