By Cherry is an upcoming movie directed by Stephen Elliot about a young girl named Angelina (Ashley Hinshaw) who moves to San Francisco with her friend (Dev Patel) and starts a new life … of pornography. Co-staring Heather Graham and James Franco, Cherry looks kinda … eh. The story seems rather predictable and the sound mixing is really poor in the trailer and that’s totally throwing me off.
Apparently Stephen Elliot and his co-writer Lorelei Lee have both worked in the porn industry previously in their lives, so I was hoping this movie would be a unique or interesting look into the lives of the people who participate in this, but so far Cherry looks like little more than a story about a sappy love triangle.
