John Carney, the critically acclaimed director of the music-movie Once, is at it again with his new song-filled film, Begin Again. Starring Keira Knightely and Mark Ruffalo, Begin Again tells the story of Dan (Ruffalo), a down on his luck ex-record executive who becomes romantically and musically involved with singer/songwriter Greta (Knightely).
The story looks a tad hokey, and I am definitely put off by the plethora of musician cameos, including a lackluster Adam Levine and and just-plain-weird CeeLo Green, but who knows? Once was a massive success, and if the music in Begin Again is half as good I’m sure this indie darling will do alright for itself. Check out the trailer above and let us know what you think.
