Trailer for Fed Up takes a look at America’s food industries

It’s no secret that America has some pretty big food problems. Genetically modified crops, fast food, and of course, tons of sugar. In documentary Fed Up, producer Katie Couric takes a hard look at the big businesses behind America’s food issues, shinning a particularly harsh spotlight on the sugar industry.

The trailer comes off as a bit bait-y to me, but there’s no denying the fact that millions of Americans deal with weight-related health issues everyday. Maybe Fed Up will spark a lifestyle change for some people or maybe it will force some of these big sugar companies to consider their customers’ health. Fed Up will release in theaters on May 9th, 2014.
