By The fact that the entire Leprechaun film series exists (Leprechaun, Leprechaun 4: In Space, Leprechaun: In the Hood, the list goes on) is one of those amazing things that reassures me the world is secretly as weird as I want it to be. Therefore, the creation of a new, modernized Leprechaun movie just tickles me pink.
I had no expectation that this remake would be scary, and the trailer confirms this, but I’m sure many will crowd around their televisions and computers just to see the updated Leprechaun character. Considering the last time we saw the little guy he was going “Back 2 tha Hood,” there is no end to the possibilities.
Leprechaun: Origins itself looks to have your typical horror movie set up; a group of friends go stay at a remote woodland cabin and are tormented by some creature- in this case, a tiny Irish man. What’s not to love?
Leprechaun: Origins hits VOD and digital download August 26th.
