Trailer for Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

As a young lady whose favorite childhood toys were a garbage bag full of Ninja Turtles action figures and who arrived at the theater for 2007’s TMNT dressed up as Michelangelo, I will pretty much sit through anything that has my four favorite adolescent amniotes attached to it. Now Paramount Studios has released its trailer for the upcoming straight-to-DVD documentary Turtle Power, and you best believe I will be gluing my eyes to it.

According to the film’s official synopsis:

“…the film chronicles the birth of a franchise and reveals the remarkable journey of four of the most unlikely superheroes of all time.”

It should be interesting to learn about the Turtles’ incarnation from the men who thought them up, and seeing the ninja teens in their old-school glory should temporarily calm the nerves of anyone concerned about Michael Bay’s impending Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Speaking of which, Turtle Power will become available a few days before August 8th; the release date for Michael Bay’s TMNT attempt. Cowabunga!
