Disney released a new “Homage” trailer for Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie for the lucky few — that I’m extremely jealous of — at Comic-Con this weekend. The trailer is named for its callbacks to the original Frankenstein’s Monster released waaaay back in 1931 and the classic horror genre in general.
It looks like the trailer repeats a lot of footage from the previously released one with some new things sprinkled in. The classic overtones are more than enough to make up for any flaws though.
This trailer gives me hope that Burton won’t disappoint me further. What happened to us, Tim? You used to be so cool. Now all I get are awesome trailers and okay products? I’m considering divorce.
