By Girl and Guy have bad breakups and decide to have casual sex and totally not fall in love with each other. As far as chick flicks go, this actually doesn’t seem too bad. Sure, it will end with Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake falling in love after getting to know each other and realizing that a relationship based solely on sex is fun for a while but ultimately hollow, but I don’t think anyone watches these movies for a surprising plot twist. Or, for that matter, plot.
Given that I had somewhat high expectations for Bridesmaids and very low expectations of Friends with Benefits, it’s funny how quickly my opinions changed after the trailers (if you haven’t watched the one for Bridesmaids yet, check it out here). One would expect something clever from Paul Feig, but from what we’ve seen so far, Friends with Benefits seems like it will have more laughs, not to mention hot naked people. I mean, let’s be honest here. Maybe we’ll get lucky and have a pre-breakup sex scene between Mila Kunis and Andy Samberg. Mmm.
