Woody Allen’s new film, Midnight in Paris, finally has a trailer. The film, releasing May 20th, concerns a couple that has traveled to Paris for vacation. Once there, they begin to confront the somewhat terrifying notion that a life other than the one they’ve chosen for themselves could be better.
Woody Allen’s been doing a great job of clawing himself out of a long slump, especially with the brilliant Vicky Christina Barcelona a couple years ago. There’s an awful lot of talent on display here, including Michael Sheen as a pseudo-intellectual twat. Even Owen Wilson seems to be settling in well in what looks like the stock, “Woody Allen would be playing this if he wasn’t like a thousand years old,” role. I’m excited for this!
