If I’d known this was coming out in June, I’d have written it up for our big summer movie preview. If I had chosen my college better, I probably would have found myself majoring in journalism, rather than “New Age Feel-goodery.” As such, this is one of my most anticipated films of the summer. Page One follows The New York Times, one of the most important newspapers in the world, during the year 2010, where they dealt with the implications of the exploding web/mobile news market, as well as the fallout from the WikiLeaks scandal. It made a big splash at Sundance, as well.
Keep your eyes on this one. It’s all set to be one of the documentaries of 2011.
