Here’s where you can see the first trailer for the upcoming sports/sci-fi film Real Steel. Screw The Wolverine. This looks like the Hugh Jackman movie to see. The Aussie plays a former boxer who begins training a robot for the robot boxing league. It’s like that episode of Futurama but probably with fewer alien kung-fu masters.
This looks mad cheesy, but in a not so bad way. Then again, it’s from the director of Night at the Museum. Then again again, he also directed the television version of the Animorphs book series, which represent a large portion of my adolescent reading habits. I mean, it can’t be as bad as 2011’s other giant robotathon, right?
Also, I can’t stop typing the title as Reel Steel, so here’s hoping for an upcoming film where Francis Ford Coppola teaches a robot to direct a motion picture.
