Not content with shoving the reigning British monarch out of a helicopter in the surprisingly brilliant London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony, Bond is gearing up for his 50th anniversary movie in just a few months (*squeals like a Japanese schoolgirl*) by releasing a thirty second TV spot for Skyfall ahead of the second full trailer, which is expected to be attached to Total Recall.
There’s some reused footage from the first trailer, again hinting at how gorgeous Roger Deakins’ cinematography will be, but also our first official glimpse at Javier Bardem’s villain Raoul Silva (at around the 0:22 mark) and Bond adjusting his cufflinks after falling through a train carriage torn apart by an errant digger – definitely the worst kind of digger – because HELLS YEAH THAT JUST HAPPENED. It might be the lifelong Bond nerd in me talking, but I’m calling this as the best blockbuster of 2012 (recent news from The Hobbit has been discouraging), with only wannabe Bond director Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained a possible challenger.
