Robin Williams is cranky! And director Phil Aiden Robinson’s (Field of Dreams) made him that way. In Robinson’s upcoming film The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, Williams plays delightful curmudgeon Henry Altmann, a man whose an aneurysm-inducing hatred for all of humanity may cost him his life in “90 minutes,” according to his doctor (Mila Kunis).
In a mad dash for redemption, Altmann must make peace with his wife (Melissa Leo), brother (Peter Dinklage), son (Hamish Linklater), and the public at large.
The Angriest Man in Brooklyn looks to be a sweet and dramatic romp through the tried and true man-must-make-amends trope. Williams has successfully undergone dramatic transformations in the past (Sy the Photo Guy, anyone?), and with Peter Dinklage in the mix, I will definitely be checking this one out. Watch the trailer above and let us know what you think!
The Angriest Man in Brooklyn opens May 23rd.
